Piece Movement
Each piece has its own unique way of moving.
- King: One square in any direction
- Queen: Unlimited straight + diagonal
- Rook: Unlimited straight (horizontal/vertical)
- Bishop: Unlimited diagonal
- Knight: L-shaped movement (can jump over pieces)
- Pawn: One square forward (two on first move), captures diagonally
The rook can move any number of squares horizontally or vertically.
The bishop can move any number of squares diagonally.
